            Course Objectives This course aims to explore childhood in today's global world, where terror, wars, migration, climate crisis and rapid change are experienced. It is aimed for students to understand and evaluate the changing perception of childhood in the global world and the threats that children face, and to develop solutions for the future.
            Learning Outcomes

            The students who succeeded in this course;

            • Students who succeeded in this course will be able to: * Define the phenomenon of globalization and its effects on social life. * Evaluate childhood in both historical and social context. * Analyze the situation of children who have to live as immigrants or refugees in a country from different perspectives. * Describe how the climate crisis and environmental changes affect the lives of children and families on a global scale. * Evaluate and compare the phenomenon of violence from many different aspects. * Discuss what should be done regarding human rights and especially children's rights. * Differentiate technology addiction and technology management.
            Course Description In this course, the conditions of being a child in a global world and the effects of globalization on children will be examined in terms of changing play patterns, child labor, child pornography, violence against children, wars, terror, climate change and the increasing phenomenon of migration. With globalization, children's rights have come to the forefront on one hand, and the physical, psychological, economic and social threats that children face on the other hand will be discussed.
