Course Objectives Students will be able to explain the occupational health concepts and principles, the causes of occupational health problems and prevention, the occupational health services in Türkiye, the effects of environmental changes on human health, the prevention measures for environmental health problems at individual, community and policy level and control programs for noncommunicable diseases and screening
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • 1- explain the occupational health concepts and principles, the causes of occupational health problems and prevention.
  • 2- explain the important occupational health problems in Türkiye.with rationale.
  • 3- explain the current occupational health services, legal aspects, problems and recommendations in Türkiye.
  • 4- explain the effects of environmental changes on human health in terms of non-communicable diseases, infectious diseases, nutrition, endocrine and metabolic diseases, heat-related diseases, and mental health problems.
  • 5- explain preventive measures for environmental health problems at individual, community and policy level.
  • 6- explain population-based control programs for noncommunicable diseases in Türkiye.
  • 7- explain screening programs at population level.
Course Description This course covers occupational health, preventive measures for environmental health problems and population based control programs for noncommunicable diseases, and screening.
